Tutu skirt!!

Just had to share:
I am blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints! This weekend we were blessed to hear from our prophet and apostles in General Conference. I am even more blessed to live in an area where we can sit together as a family and watch it on TV. So as i listen I usually do a craft or something with my hands so i can still listen well and pay attention. So when i found this blog with an idea for a skirt i was super excited to try it! So I sat and tied all the strips of tulle as i listened to conference! :) It was time consuming but so fun and so worth it!! My daughter absolutely loved it.
I altered it a bit using thinner elastic and cutting the strips 3" wide. It turned out so cute!! she was practicing her balet when she tried it on:

Purple, Pink and Green with a touch of blue! So cute! Wish i could actually wear one myself!(and not look ridiculous! lol!! This pattern is so easy anyone could do it!! Even if you don't sew you could do it on a belt!

We got a dining room set about 3 years ago and have wanted to do this since then, finally i got around to it. I found fabric i really liked and knew would match my kitchen for a long time, i used a clear plastic table cloth i already had, and got the foam from an old foam mattress that my parents didn't need anymore. I bought myself a staple gun, some staples and got to work! It was a messy process (especially the foam) but SO worth it! it looks new, well mostly! lol! we put plastic on so the fabric would stay nice
